Erin Celello’s (MFA ’02) second novel, Learning to Stay, has become the first commissioned play presented by Forward Theater in Madison. Its world premiere runs through April 9. Celello’s novel is about a soldier who returns from Iraq with a traumatic brain injury and a wife struggling to understand the man she no longer recognizes.
