NMU Represented at Ishpeming Township Event

Friday 11, 2017

Nineteen employees and two student athletes volunteered to represent NMU at the Ishpeming Township National Night Out and 150th birthday celebration. NMU’s table at the family-focused event featured frisbees, paper pennants, balloons, pins and other branded giveaway items, as well as information on the Educational Access Network. Two NMU goodie bags were also raffled off.

“Lots of parents stopped by, saying to their children or grandchildren, ‘This is where I went to college’ and ‘This is where you can go to college someday,’” said Gerri Daniels, director of Admissions. “The organizers said it was the largest turnout they have had, and that it has grown each year. I think it was good that Northern was there and visible. They definitely want us back next year.”
