NCLL Offers Program on Esperanto
Friday 3, 2017
The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will offer a presentation on Esperanto, the worldwide language, from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, in the Shiras Room at Peter White Public Library.
In 1887, L. L. Zamenhof, a Polish doctor, created the language for the purpose of breaking down barriers between different ethnic groups. Esperanto expert Sheila Devlin will give a presentation about the language and its use today.
The cost is $3 for NCLL members and $8 for non-members. Register by Nov. 10 by calling 227-2979. For more information, contact Gil Martin at 343-6609 or gmartin@aol.com.
