NMU Grad Writes Running Column
NMU alumna Carly Guggemos was recently a featured columnist for the “Lansing State Journal.” Her column addressed the benefits that running with one’s partner offers, both in supporting a training regimen and strengthening the personal relationship. Guggemos received her master’s degree in exercise science from NMU and is co-owner of Organic Coaching. She is a full-time triathlon and running coach and competitive triathlete.
According to the Organic Coaching website, Guggemos is a "4x Ironman finisher, Ironman age group champion, holds an Ironman course record for her age group in Cozumel and has multiple Ironman 70.3 podiums." She also qualified and competed at the 2014 Ironman 70.3 World Championships and Ironman World Championships in 2014 and 2015. Read her column here.
