Friday 9, 2018

The Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center at NMU received the Peter White Award from the Marquette Regional History Center. The award honors foundations, companies, organizations and institutions for exceptional effort in the enhancement, restoration, conservation or interpretation of the area's history. The campus community is invited to a cake and coffee reception celebrating the honor from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at the Beaumier Center in Gries Hall.

As director of the center, Dan Truckey accepted the Peter White Award from the Marquette Regional History Center at its Feb. 28 ceremony.

"This is a great and well-deserved honor that recognizes the hard work of Dan, his student employees and his volunteers," said Leslie Warren, dean of Library and Instructional Support. "I appreciate their commitment to our regional heritage."
