Torchia Wins National Championship

Wildcat Ian Torchia won a national title in the men's 20-kilometer freestyle at the NCAA Skiing National Championships in Steamboat Springs. He drew bib No. 1 before the race and finished No. 1 with a time of 54 minutes, 21 seconds. The junior from Rochester, Minn., is the seventh NCAA Champion in Wildcat Nordic skiing history. Now a four-time All-American, Torchia earned his second first-team honor of the week in the victory to add to his two All-America awards earned in 2016.
