NCLL Explores NMU Broadband

Monday 19, 2018

The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will host a “Northern Michigan University Broadband and Education for Everyone” presentation. It will be held from 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday, April 3, in room 111B of NMU’s Learning Resources Center.

NMU is constructing its Educational Access Network (EAN) from one end of the Upper Peninsula to the other, which will provide affordable broadband service and a variety of educational opportunities. Eric Smith, director of Broadcast and AV Services at NMU, will present. Smith will discuss a relevant federal policy, how EAN works and how it is getting nationwide attention.

The cost is $3 for NCLL members and $8 for non-members. Register before Tuesday, March 27, by calling 227-2979. Call Carole Bard at 228-9367 for more information.
