NMU alumnus Kevin Bredeson (BS '97) has joined Skender Construction in Chicago as chief technology officer. He is responsible for strategic oversight and direction of Skender’s technology footprint. He infuses operations-focused technologies, including virtual design and construction and building information modeling, with emerging technologies surch as virtual reality, augmented reality and drone imaging.

Bredeson previously led technology initiatives for some of the world’s top construction companies, including Suffolk Construction, Pepper Construction and Gilbane Building Company. He holds a construction management degree from NMU and serves on the program's advisory board, according to his LinkedIn profile.
