Media are welcome to cover an open house for the new NMU Kinesiology and Exercise Oncology Research Laboratory at 841 Washington Street. The event is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 30. NMU's Health and Human Performance Department will lead tours of the facility and discuss research regarding exercise and cancer patients/survivors, multiple sclerosis, concussions, outdoor recreational therapy and athletic training. Visitors will also learn about some future collaborations with Advanced Orthopedics and UP Rehab related to Nordic and alpine skiing.

To get to the lab, enter the parking lot at 841 Washington Street (across from Mr. Tire), veer to the left side of the building and look for the NMU sign.
