For most academic majors, declaring or changing your major can be done by filling out the form below. However, there are some exceptions. Please see the following notes.

Students wishing to declare Education or update an Education major or minor, email education@nmu.edu, or call 906-227-2728 to schedule an admissions appointment.

Students looking to create and declare an Individually Created Program (ICP) must work with their advisor and the academic departments comprising the program. Once everything is approved, the Registrar's Office will make the update to your program.
