Success Advisors

We provide holistic student support, empowering and guiding students in the development, pursuit, and achievement of their personal, academic, and professional goals.

Global Campus

Advising for our online and distance education learners who are pursuing education is done through Northern Michigan University's Global Campus office. They will help you find the best program for your personal and professional goals.

Student Support Services (S.S.S.)

Students in the TRIO program and who meet specific eligibility criteria can receive specialized, enhanced academic support through the Student Support Services. They provide a broad base of quality services to support first generation, low income students and students with disabilities.

Exploring & Undecided

Unsure what major to pursue? Interested in learning about other programs? Need help exploring career pathways?

Pre-Professional Advising

Students pursuing a pre-professional program track should connect with the designated advisor for that area. Advisors for these areas will detail course requirements/suggestions, information about the profession, application procedures, testing information (MCAT, LSAT, DAT, etc), extracurriculars, and other consideration for best success.

Faculty Mentors

The Faculty at Northern are important partners in your educational journey in and out of the classroom. They are experts in their disciplines who possess valuable insight and direction for students. Some departments may assign a specific faculty member based on your area of study.
