Student Success Advisors
Embedded within the academic departments, our advisors work closely with faculty & students to provide holistic support for students and their academic journeys whether that is finding student organizations to join, selecting & registering courses, or providing university & community resources.
Student Support Services (S.S.S.)
Students in the TRIO program and who meet specific eligibility criteria can receive specialized, enhanced academic support through the Student Support Services. They provide a broad base of quality services to support first generation, low income students and students with disabilities.
Global Campus
Advising for our online and distance education learners who are pursuing education is done through Northern Michigan University's Global Campus office. They will help you find the best program for your personal and professional goals.

To find out the name of your advisor, try one of these options:
- Go to MyNMU, click on the "ESP" tile on your home page, scroll down to find your "Success Team", and your Primary Advisor will be the first person listed.
