Sarah graduated from Northern Michigan University with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Climate Control (HVAC-R) in 2008 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management in 2010. After graduation she successfully completed a 10-month internship with Johnson Controls Inc, and was hired full-time. She has also been involved with new construction of Building Additions and full renovations, Biomass Heating Plants and Biofuel Generators. She has managed city infrastructure including Street Lamps, Traffic Signals, Water Meters, along with extensive work at Water Treatment Plants and Wastewater Treatment Plants.

She was promoted to Area Operations Leader, developing new projects and overseeing current large projects in the state of Michigan. Most recently, she held the position of Project Development Consultant for Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. This included developing new projects from auditing buildings, writing scopes and bid documents, compiling costs and durations, to finalizing the customer contract, subcontracts, schedule, forecasting project revenue and, finally, turnover to the Construction Managers to manage the project.
