To Access Handshake:  Log into MyNMU and click on 'Handshake' on the main screen tiles or on the side access bar. You will have access once you have registered for classes.  When you first activate your account, you will be asked a series of profile questions.

For employers, post and manage job openings or explore potential candidates using Handshake.

Information for New Students

Looking for a job? In an average year, NMU has approximately 1,500 student jobs available. The departments with the most student employees are Dining Services, Athletics, and Housing and Residence Life. Check out Handshake - our job-posting system - for a list of available positions! 

Once you have registered for classes, we will automatically create an account for you associated with your NMU email address. Please allow 3-5 business days for this to happen.  To access your account, log into MyNMU and click on 'Handshake.'
