School Verification for Student Application for Articulated CTE Credit

 

HIGH SCHOOL INSTRUCTOR/COUNSELOR/ADMINISTRATOR INSTRUCTIONS

Please use this form to verify your CTE student/graduate has successfully completed the state-approved Michigan courses indicated in NMU's post-secondary, articulated credit agreement.  Granting of postsecondary, articulated credit requires: 

  1. Application for postsecondary credit must be received within two years of the student’s high school graduation.  A request for an exception to this condition must be emailed to:  cte@nmu.edu
  2. The postsecondary credit application will be completed and submitted by the secondary CTE program representative and student.  All supporting documentation will be submitted to the office of Admissions at Northern Michigan University.
  3. The high school student must earn a B or higher in the applicable CTE program to be eligible for postsecondary, articulated credit (with the exception of Construction Trades, wherein the high school student must earn a "B+" or higher in the program to be eligible for postsecondary, articulated credit).
  4. No tuition will be charged for any courses for which the student receives postsecondary, articulated credit.

The student must also submit the Student Application for Articulated CTE Credit form for the credit to be considered.
