Madison Ngafeeson

Assistant Professor - Information Systems

Dr. Madison Ngafeeson is an assistant professor at the College of Business, Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with emphasis in Computer Information Systems from the University of Texas-Pan American, in Edinburg, TX; a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems from Southern University at New Orleans, in New Orleans, LA; and a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Buea, in Buea, Cameroon.

Madison is a passionate teacher and researcher. His general teaching and research interests are in the areas of the adoption, implementation, diffusion and use of information systems in organizations. His major research focus is health information technology management. Madison’s publications appear in reputable national and international conferences as the Decision Sciences Institute and the European Conference on Information Systems; as well as journal outlets such as the International Journal of Electronic Healthcare, the International Journal of Electronic Government Research, and the International Journal of Electronic Finance.

Madison served in the healthcare industry as a medical laboratory technician and a dental assistant internationally before joining the academe. He also served as a national president for a not-for-profit organization before going to graduate school. Madison feels blessed to be able to bring these diverse and rich experiences into the classroom, and to be part of a growing information systems program here at NMU’s College of Business.
