Where Accounting and Finance Can Take You

Potential job titles for graduates of these programs include accountant, auditor, chief financial officer, loan officer, purchasing agent, and more.

"NMU has provided me with an environment to grow as an individual and learn to connect with others. Through working with my peers and professors, I have grown more confident and social. The skills that I have learned have allowed me to interview with and receive offers from two of the Big 4 accounting firms. Without the class sizes and ability to interact with professors that NMU offers, these accomplishments would have been much harder to achieve."

Accounting Major

Accounting careers have been staples in our economy. Even when markets have slowed over the years, accountants have remained in high demand. A business degree in accounting from Northern Michigan University provides basic competency in the functional areas of accounting and provides students with the minimum requirements to sit for professional examinations such as the CPA and CMA examinations.
