Spread Goodness Day was first created in 2017 by NMU alumna Anna Dravland to create an explosive atmosphere of empowerment that the simplest acts of goodness change the world every single day. Spread Goodness Day is celebrated on the second Friday in March. NMU has participated in Anna’s vision since the beginning and her inspiration has led to its recognition as a day of celebration by the State of Michigan and several communities in Wisconsin.
How can you spread goodness? We welcome you to celebrate Spread Goodness Day on Friday, March 8 and join NMU students during our week-long celebration March 11-15. Please take part in any of the following events:

- Food Drive. Beginning Friday, March 8 and throughout the following week, we are hosting a food drive to support and replenish the NMU Food Pantry. Donations can include non-perishable/non-expired food items and personal hygiene items; a suggestion list can be found on the NMU Food Pantry website. An opportunity to make a monetary donation can also be found on the website.
