Northern Michigan University is committed to the safety of our community, the well-being of our community members, and to fostering a secure environment in an open, transparent manner.  

The NMU Police Department is a world-class team that consistently works to enhance campus safety and address safety issues and concerns. The release of this Annual Security Report provides details of these efforts, along with safety-related policies, procedures and crime statistics. I encourage all NMU community members to review this report, and to play an active role in the shared responsibility of fostering and maintaining a safe campus environment.
