NMU's Drug Take-Back Box
If you missed the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, you can still take advantage of this important service. Clean out your medicine cabinets and help prevent drug misuse before it starts.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 100,000 Americans die each year from drug poisoning or overdose.
You can safely dispose of your old, unneeded, or unused medications at:

The drug take-back locker is located in the NMU Police Department lobby and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

How to Use the Drug Take-Back Box
- Remove any personal information from your medication packaging
- Make sure the pill bottle, packaging, or plastic bag is firmly sealed to avoid spilling
- Open the kiosk door and drop your medications for safe and secure collection
