Promoting Health and Prosperity using Behavior Analysis:
Relative to the general population, people living in poverty are at an increased risk of a various
poor health outcomes including drug addiction, HIV, stroke, cancer, and death. Dr. Forrest
Toegel has spent the past three years working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Learning
and Health at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. The Center for Learning and
Health is a research-treatment center focused on developing behavioral interventions to promote
drug abstinence, medication adherence, and employment and to help lift people out of poverty.
In this colloquium, Dr. Toegel will share results from some of his research in the areas of drug
addiction and HIV.
