Southern Illinois University Ph.D., and Professor Dr. Joshua Calrson is the Director of the Cognitive x Affective Behavior & Integrative Neuroscience (CABIN) Lab, which studies how affective and social cues influence or modulate processes and behaviors traditionally thought of as “cognitive” using both behavioral and biological measures including: reaction times, questionnaires, MRI (functional, structural, & diffusion tensor-weighted), EEG/ERP, and genetic methods. Outside of the lab he enjoys spending time with his wife Sara and 2 cats in addition to cooking, hiking, and playing guitar.
