Psi Chi
The purpose of Psi Chi is to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology. Our chapter strives to reach these objectives through volunteer and community outreach, involvement in NMU's psychology network, and creating skills for post-graduate experiences.

Andrew Donar, President
Andrew is a 2nd year graduate Student with an emphasis in neuropharmaceutical research. He recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychological science at northern michigan university. Andrew's research focuses on evaluating the mechanisms of gabapentin and its potential recreational effects.
Alaina Grover, Vice President and Social Media Officer
Hi, I’m Alaina Grover! I’m currently a junior studying Psychology with a concentration in mental health/preclinical psychology, as well as a minor in Art and Design.
Bee Carroll, Secretary
Hi! My name is Bee (they/them), I’m a senior studying Psychology with a concentration in Pre-Clinical/Mental Health and a minor in Sociology. I love writing fiction and doing yoga as hobbies, and I have an adorable cat named Parker.
Dr. Adam Prus, Psi Chi Advisor
Dr. Prus is a Distinguished Professor and Head of the Department of Psychological Science. He has been a professor at NMU since 2006 and has served as the primary advisor for Psi Chi since 2018.

Membership
Undergraduate students are invited to become members of the Psi Chi International Honor Society if they are majoring or minoring in psychology and are among the top 35% in their class. They must be second-semester sophomores, or a higher class standing. Graduate students may join Psi Chi if they have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and completed one full semester of graduate coursework.
