Psi Chi
The purpose of Psi Chi is to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology. Our chapter strives to reach these objectives through volunteer and community outreach, involvement in NMU's psychology network, and creating skills for post-graduate experiences.

Megan is a senior in the undergraduate programs for Psychology and Data Science. She is involved with the Cognitive X Affective Behavior & Integrated Neuroscience (CABIN) Lab on campus.

Hello! My name is Alexa Murray. I am currently a senior, studying PreClinical/Mental Health Psychology and Criminal Justice. In my years of undergrad, I have studied in the CABIN Lab. My hobbies include going to the gym, hiking, and playing video games.

Ally Sebuck, Social Media Officer
Ally Sebuck studies Biology with an Ecology concentration, as well as Psychology with her minor focused on Cognitive and Social Psychology. She works for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, aiding in Lake Superior fisheries studies and surveys.

Rebecca Balinski, Treasurer
Rebecca Balinski is in her 1st year of her Master’s program in Psychology. She is involved with the Cancer and Cognition Lab on campus.

Dr. Adam Prus, Psi Chi Advisor
Dr. Prus is a Distinguished Professor and Head of the Department of Psychological Science. He has been a professor at NMU since 2006 and has served as the primary advisor for Psi Chi since 2018.

Membership
Undergraduate students are invited to become members of the Psi Chi International Honor Society if they are majoring or minoring in psychology and are among the top 35% in their class. They must be second-semester sophomores, or a higher class standing. Graduate students may join Psi Chi if they have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and completed one full semester of graduate coursework.
