A Note on Scholarships

Another primary objective of NMU Women in Construction Day is to establish resources to support the academic achievement of students who are pursuing a career in construction management. Any funds received through sponsorship support that exceed the operational cost of NMU Women in Construction Day will be allocated to the Construction Management Fund at Northern Michigan University to support students enrolled at Northern Michigan University who are pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management.


About NMU’s Construction Management Program

Located in Marquette, Michigan, NMU’s faculty strive to prepare students to be competent in coordinating all phases of building construction including estimating, scheduling, writing contracts, purchasing materials and coordinating with subcontractors and vendors. Graduates may begin as project managers, field engineers, safety coordinators, estimators, virtual/ integrated systems coordinators or superintendents.
