About Spooner Hall

Spooner Hall is a fun and quirky hall with lots to offer! With multiple styles of rooms to choose from, including single room options, apartment style options, and the more classic double style room, Spooner has a little bit of something for everyone. Spooner is a building with a rich history, and the students of Spooner today are a close-knit and competitive bunch that are working to build upon this history, while incorporating new traditions as well.

Diane Reminder

Resident Director- Spooner

Diane Reminder

Hey y’all! My name is Diane Reminder and I’m from Spring Lake Michigan. I received my Bachelor’s in Outdoor Recreation Leadership and Management with a minor in Sustainability from Northern. I am currently working on my graduate program, which is the Administration of Outdoor Recreation and Nature Based Tourism (AORNBT) program. Outside of my studies I was an active member of PrimeTime productions, worked as a Deskie, and was a preschool teacher at a local Forest School. During my time on campus I lived in Birch West Hall, Van Antwerp Hall, and worked as a Resident Adviser in Magers Hall's Inferno House. During this time, I received the Paraprofessional of the Year award for the 2022-2023 academic year.

In between meetings and office hours, you can likely find me studying, out hiking, digging through local thrift stores, hanging out playing euchre or cribbage, or chilling at Contrast Coffee with a good book or a crochet project.

Please feel free to stop by & say hello!
