Dr. Washington is a licensed clinical psychologist with Doctorate in Psychology degree from the Illinois Professional School of Psychology, at Argosy University, Chicago, IL. Prior to NMU, she served as the Lead Psychologist and Clinical Training Director at Parkview Behavioral Health Institute, Park Center, in Fort Wayne, IN, where she gained broad experience in training post-graduate clinicians in the application of clinical skills, as well as overseeing a continuing education training sequence for staff members. She has also secured significant grant funding as the Principal Investigator for initiatives to enhance behavioral health in primary care settings and approaches for elevating health and wellness during clinical training. Clinically, Dr. Washington operates from a Psychodynamic, feminist, group relations and existential perspective. Her clinical and scholarly interests include: sexual heath, LGBTQ+ issues, social justice, and understanding systems and organization.
